What is CPE ?
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is a professional, experiential training program that equips spiritual caregivers, chaplains, and ministers to provide compassionate support within diverse clinical and community settings. Through supervised practice, students engage directly with patients, families, and staff, reflecting on their pastoral encounters to deepen self-awareness, strengthen interpersonal skills, and develop a holistic approach to care. CPE fosters growth through dialogue, peer feedback, and critical reflection, encouraging learners to integrate theological understanding with real-world ministry. Its goal is to nurture spiritually grounded, emotionally attuned caregivers who can offer presence, empathy, and guidance during moments of crisis, healing, and transition.

Why CCI ?
At CCI, the Clinical Pastoral Education unit consist of 400 hours. The framework of the 400 hours consist of 300 clinical hours and 100 group/didactic hours. Clinical hours are completed in your locality, while group hours are conducted online via the re-stream platform, making it perfect for working individuals who can not attend a traditional residency/local CPE requirement. We utilize the action, reflection, action method. The Action –Reflection–Action (A-R-A) method is a core learning process in Clinical Pastoral Education, designed to help students grow through real-life ministry encounters. IOISC prides itself on affordability of CPE, with units costing just $500 per unit.
